German-UAE College of Logistics (GUCL)
United Arab Emirates (UAE) authorities in collaboration with Higher Colleges of Technology communicated their interest to establish a specialized degree course in the Emirates in cooperation with German partner universities leading to specialist knowledge in logistics.
In response the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) invited a number of renowned German Universities of Applied Science to form a consortium that meets the requirements to establish a German-style education program in the Emirates in partnership with Higher Colleges of Technology which focuses on comprehensive knowledge of logistics operations.
GUCL is introduced as the first college of this kind to deliver top German higher education in the UAE. Logistics training, as practiced at German universities, is so far not present in the region, although highly needed.
